There are three kinds of income each family is blessed with whether they are aware of them or not. There is wealth both tangible and intangible in nature that are free for everyone to enjoy in life. Many times two of these are even greater in worth than the cash income.

Monetary Income
The real income includes cash money brought in from salaried jobs or any other cash income that comes into your home. The amount of goods we own, including food, clothing, books, home, etc. depends on the value of the dollar and the amount of disposable income you have. We are all too aware that the value of the dollar has reduced drastically in the past few years and the dollar amount for goods, especially food is rising. Putting our worth and security solely on our monetary income is unnecessary, especially when you take into account some of the most important income you can have. Placing too much emphasis and stress in your life on your monetary income can sometimes become depressing and make you feel you'll never get ahead.

Real Income
The real income includes what we fill our homes and lives with, the things we own. This can be our property, vehicles, furniture, appliances, etc. that make our lives happy and comfortable. When you may not have enough money to go out and buy a brand new BMW or even the latest game equipment for your kids, don't feel down or frustrated. Look around and see what you do have that makes your life comfortable and happy. Each generation has progressively gotten richer over the ages in personal property and possessions. A wealthy family in the Victorian era, for instance, would not have the amount of possessions a family owns that is considered to live in poverty in America now. We all have great wealth in this area. Make a list and pull it out when you start to feel unfortunate in your financial situation.

Many times it is easy to take for granted some of life's most important possessions such as working stove and refrigerator, or even something like indoor plumbing. Furniture makes our lives comfortable and much of it is aesthetically pleasing. Hobby tools and supplies such as carpentry tools or scrapbooking supplies are a great source of wealth as they bring us happiness when we use them. Truly all these possessions are the "real income".

Psychic Income
The final part of our three part income is the psychic income. "It is the flow of satisfaction that comes from everyday experiences." We can have a plenty or abundant mindset or always have the mentality that we "can never get ahead." Either way you are right. Thoughts precede all action. Throughout history we have example after example of people who came from a lowly station into something great. These people went against all odds and not by accident or luck. It has been said that riches, mediocrity and poverty begin in the mind. We are blessed with a vast income that is limitless via our own minds. Fill your mind with light, happiness, hope, feelings of security and strength, and soon your life will reflect these qualities.

Dr. Karl Menninger said, "Attitudes are more important than facts." Society today has taught us that the dollar talks loudest and that our lives are completely dependent on the almighty dollar. Many people think and live their lives as if this is true. Believing this can be depressing if we don't realize all three sources of income that we each are entitled to. We each are truly wealth in countless ways.
